The Job

So, to summarize: In May 2006 I connected with a Social Work recruitment company, Raven Social Work. They have one agent based in Edmonton, and another in England. The English agent is Julian Ellis: I don't really understand where he lives as he seems to move around a lot. He and I e-mailed, and I sent him a heavy package via Fed Ex, and away we went. Not much activity, really, until Fall of 2007. Julian edited my CV, showcased me to Councils, and generally attempted to offset my anxiety and various other neuroses with kind words. The whole process would have been highly unlikely to happen without him.
Now, for mid-April 2007, we are going to be off to The English! The interview, which was on Friday the 23rd, went swimmingly, and the interviewers seemed lovely. The job is [I think!] a Case Management position for a Learning Disabilities Team in Hereford. The formal Job Offer hasn't come through yet, but an informal nod has been given to Julian on the England side.
Mike's job will be up in the air for a little while. He's going over with the intention of teaching ESL, and maybe doing some part-time library or other work. Lots of unknowns still, but it will all get sorted.
Yay! The last 2 months so have been grueling--not knowing is difficult! At the same time, freeing. More possibilities that restrictions, really.
Hopefully we'll have some firmer details and more info in the next couple days.
